Funerals

I am the resurrection and the life” says the Lord
John 11.25

GET IN TOUCH

Saying goodbye to those you love can be heartbreaking.

We want to help you give them a fitting service where we can mark the life of those who have died and commend them to God.

  • What kind of service can we have?

We shall discuss this with you but we can offer all or any of the following:

    - a funeral service in church

    - a service at the crematorium or at the burial ground

    - a memorial service

Funerals can come all in sorts of shapes and sizes and we will try to accommodate all of your requests, where possible.

  • Getting ready for a funeral

We will talk through with you the kind of funeral you want and how we can achieve it.

We will normally meet you at least once before the service to ascertain your wishes.

What is right will depend on your wishes and what might suit the departed and what they may have wanted.

  • After the funeral

We understand that grieving goes on well after a funeral. We want to be there for you to remember those who have died. If you choose to have their names added to our Book of Remembrance, we will pray for them on the anniversary of their deaths. There are also special annual services where we recall those for whom we mourn.

  • Who should I contact?

Please contact the team by email: [email protected]

One of the clergy will get in touch with you as soon as they are able. You can get in touch with us directly or the funeral director may do so on your behalf.
